Michael Tucak            M.E.I., LL.B., B.Sc., Grad. Cert. (Innov. Man.)

Michael is Principal Lawyer at creative|legal. He has over 13 years experience in intellectual property and commercial law, including in-house roles at Mushroom Group and SONY BMG Music Entertainment and with specialist IP firms Garton-Smith\Owen and Owen Legal + Corporate. 

Michael has worked extensively in both music and film industries, including government funded film investments and online music distribution. He has also worked in areas such as technology commercialisation, stock-exchange listings and corporate governance.

Michael's core expertise is his ability to combine commercial legal analysis and solutions with an understanding of creative and entrepreneurial endeavour. His passion lies in assisting creative ideas translate to reality, success and change.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Western Australia, and has completed a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI) from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Service Management from RMIT University and completed an intensive study tour at the University of Twente in The Netherlands, focusing on entrepreneurial training and learning in the success of university spin-offs.
